This is an abscess wound in a front hoof caused by foreign object (stick).
The foreign object was removed, the heel trimmed out, the cavity flushed out with wound wash then
treated with Lacerum gel, two treatments. Due to the fact that a great deal of the sole had sloughed off,
the hoof was bandaged for protection. The horse was sent home for the owner to continue treatment.

Treatment 10-9-2006 through 10-12-2006
