This wound is on a 19 year old gelding, who was referred to Step Ahead Farm after a prognosis of
6 months of stall rest would be required prior to being put back into training. The tendon was
severed, and three inches of bone was exposed. Note the light weight bandage utilized to prevent
the overgrowth of granulation tissue.
This horse ran fifth in the Dixie Nationals 7 months after injury.
